Kleberg County, Texas Chooses TrafficPayment.com

Midland and Kingsville, Texas – March, 2006 – A new system is in place in Kleburg County and officials are already reaping benefits. In February, the county aligned with TrafficPayment.com to offer traffic offenders the option of clearing their fine with a credit card. By utilizing TrafficPayment.com’s VU system that required no integration into citation management software, no software or hardware installation, or even an internet connection, TrafficPayment.com accepts payment immediately either online or by telephone.

The user-friendly website is straightforward and can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week online, or by phone during regular business hours Monday through Friday. No longer is there a need to stand in line, obtain a money order or cashiers check, or meet mail deadlines and business hour restrictions. All that is necessary is to log on to the site, enter specific information about the citation, and authorize payment by credit card. The citation is paid, and the court is instantly notified. Phone payment is available in both English and Spanish. Convenience is not the only benefit to the new service; it is also available to the courts at absolutely no cost. Chief Court Clerk Gloria Paree is very pleased with the system. "We have already seen an increase in revenue, and the 800 number is very helpful," she reports.
