City of Canyon Selects TrafficPayment.com

Online Payment System for Traffic and Parking Citations Selected

MIDLAND, Texas. - March 25, 2004 - TrafficPayment.com has been named to provide the online payment system for the City of Canyon, Texas. TrafficPayment.com’s system will interface with the court management software to enable payments to be accepted via the TrafficPayment.com web portal. People paying tickets no longer need to deal with checks, stamps, or waiting in line. They merely log on to TrafficPayment.com and enter specific information about their citation, pay the fine with a credit card, and the citation is instantly resolved. TrafficPayment.com has started offering online payment for Canyon violators on any citation issued after March 23, 2004.

Courtney Sharp, assistant city manager of Canyon said, "We have been looking into online payment for our court system for sometime now and had not found the right solution." "In the case of Canyon, they wanted to implement an online payment service to better serve their citizens but the costs associated were too high, and that’s where we stepped in," said Matt Withrow, President of TrafficPayment.com, "Our solution is designed specifically to meet the needs of cities like Canyon while providing security and peace of mind to it’s citizens."
