The City of Arlington, Texas Offers On-Line Payment through TrafficPayment.com

ADDISON, TEXAS – October 16, 2006 – The City of Arlington implements TrafficPayment.com in an effort to provide violators with a more convenient method of payment, while increasing collections and decreasing costs for the court.

"In an effort to assist people that have received a citation, Arlington will now provide an on-line payment method through TrafficPayment.com. The 24/7 availability of TrafficPayment.com will allow people to handle their tickets at their convenience, instead of having to make time during court hours. With the added convenience, we expect to see increased and timelier collections. Additionally, when people pay on-line, we are able to save money in labor and processing," David Preciado, Municipal Court Services Director, said.

TrafficPayment.com will also augment the city’s current phone payment system with an additional phone system that offers both English and Spanish speaking customer service representatives. The phone system can be reached at (800) 444-1187.

"TrafficPayment.com strives to provide cities, counties and schools with the most inclusive, hassle-free payment system possible. We offer these institutions the option of whether or not TrafficPayment.com integrates with their traffic control software. Thus, each institution is able to choose the degree of control and convenience level that they desire. We also supplement the on-line system with an 800 number that accepts phone payments. All phone payments are taken through our customer service representatives and not an automated system." Angela Lewis, Director of Sales for TrafficPayment.com, said.

Arlington went live with TrafficPayment.com on Saturday, October 14, 2006. Violators may pay their citations on Arlington’s municipal court web site at www.ci.arlington.tx.us/municipalcourt or directly through TrafficPayment.com’s site at www.TrafficPayment.com.
